We Are Guardians ...Healing
Vision: WAG Healing Animal Sanctuary is a place where both animals and people can come to rest, renew and rebuild their lives. We believe that animals, people and nature must be acknowledged as partners to support a community that is committed to healing, growth and healthy connection.
50% of all Walk With Me proceeds will be donated to WAG Healing's Transitional Living Project. This project is aimed at helping veteran small families with animals who are enduring transitional challenges. The first site for these families and their animal companions is planned for Dehesa Valley, CA.
A virtual support program is in development while the site is being readied for a residential program.
A crisis is not the ideal time for people to learn new ways of managing their lives or how to make it through life transitions. Many beloved animals are also left behind when families are in crisis.
WAG Healing's aim is to create a space and supportive environment while honoring the human-animal bond. In our residential program, a few families will have a chance to rest (learn practices that connect them more deeply to themselves and each other), renew (explore and refresh themselves on sustainable life skills they need to create the next chapter of their lives) and rebuild (have the support and tools they need to make their plan and step into it together).
Families learn how to move from survival to creation of their lives together and in community with others.
At WAG (We Are Guardians) Healing, family means people, animals and nature. We are guardians for each other.
